Glenn Curtiss-Sr.2-Mar.7
Glenn
Curtiss (1878-1930) was an American aviation and motorcycling pioneer, and a
founder of the U.S. aircraft industry. He began his career as a bicycle racer
and builder before moving on to motorcycles. As early as 1904, he began to
manufacture engines for airships.
In 1908, Curtiss joined the Aerial Experiment
Association, a pioneering research group, to build flying machines. Curtiss
made the first officially witnessed flight in North America, won a race at the
world's first international air meet in France and made the first
long-distance flight in the US.

I went shopping with ~ in Mitaka on ~ and bought a new pair of shoes. They were on sale but were still too expensive for me, so my mom helped me by them.
After that, we had lunch at ~ and both of us had pizza. It was made with
tomatoes and goat cheese and tasted delicious.
There, I met my old friend who went to elementary school together. We had desert together and talked a lot about our schools.
The next day, I stayed home and
studied ~ to prepare for the exams.

Chuck wagon races at Rodeo in Houston

In North America, there is a kind of race called a chuck-wagon
race.
Chuck wagons were first used by cowboys for carrying food.
They have four
wheels and are pulled by horses.
Today, they are used for racing.
The drivers
mut put heavy things in their chuck wagons and then drive around a track at
high speeds.
