Read & Write-Sr.2-Apr.19th

What Do You Think?
1. Write your opinion if the old man in Reading 2 is a positive thinker or not.
- State your opinion clearly in one or two sentences.
- Write reasons and examples for your opinion in two to four sentences.
- Conclude your writing in one or two sentences.
- You may use the conditional type-3 to explain your answer.
  <= could/would/should/might have done/been...
  <= wouldn't have done/been ...
If he was a person who takes things positively,
  he wouldn't have just asked a question to his neighbors
  when his horse got back with another one.

He should have been pleased to have another horse
  and could have talked about it proudly to others.

  1. I don't think the old man is positive thinker.
    If he thinks the things positively, he could have not said "Good news? Bad news? Who knows?" when his son became healthy.
    But he usually say that in each story.
    If he was a positive thinker, he should have been pleased that his son didn't have to go to the war.I

    1. I think this old man is a positive thinker.
      If he was not positive person,he would have thought it was bad news when his son was hurt.
      Most people would have been sad when they faced such situation.
      If he was not a positive person,he would minded what neighbors say.
      Positive person is person who never mind others.
      That's why,I think he is positive.
      He didn't say it was good news about accident but his thinking can be called "positive".

    If he wasn't a positive thinker,he would have been very sad to lost his horse.
    But he wasn't be very sad. I think he thought about good news when he lost his horse.
    So he wasn't be very suprised to come back his horse.
    And also if he wasn't a positive thinker,he wouldn't ask "Good news?".

  5. I don't think he is a positive thinker.
    If he was a positive thinker he wouldn't have thought it is bad news when he heard a good news.
    He should talk more with neighbors to share his own opinion and could have been pleased when his horse came back with a wild horse.
    I think he should be pleased when his son didn't go to war.

  6. I don't think he is a positive thinker.But,I believe he is a thoughtful person.
    Because,he thought a lot of things whenever something bad or good happened to him.
    For example,he thought "Is the neighbor saying true? It might be not bad news"when his horse runaway.
    If he was a positive or negative person,he wouldn't think that.
    So,I think he is not a positive thinker or a negative thinker.
