TS: I don’t agree that all people should be able to enter museums for free.
First, it costs money to preserve historical items of art. If such collections were not maintained properly, they would become damaged over time. (It is our responsibility to keep historical items in good condition.)
Second, it is important to control the number of people who enter a museum by charging a fee. If there is no fee, museums will become crowded with those who just want to kill their time. Visitors would not be satisfied at a crowded museum.

[TS] When someone gives a gift in a formal situation, most people in Japan tend to receive a gift in a behaved manner.

[SS-1] First, the receiver tries to look surprised by the gift because they don’t want the giver to think it was expected.

   [SD-1] In some cases, the receiver often refuses to take the gift until the giver repeatedly asks to take it.

[SS-2] Also, people don’t open the gift right away because they’re afraid to look childish.

  [SD-2] They don’t want to mess around the place with the wrapping paper, either.

[CS] Neither the giver nor the receiver of a gift wants to make a big deal of it in Japan, at least in front of each other.
