[TS] When someone gives a gift in a formal situation, most people in Japan tend to receive a gift in a behaved manner.
<= [SS-1] First, the receiver tries to look surprised by the gift because they don’t want the giver to think it was expected.

summary of the text in six to eight sentences.
Scientists found that bacteria cause infectious diseases, developed the ways to prevent them from infections and created medicine to cure infectious diseases.
Leeuwenhoek discovered bacteria in 1676 that cause diseases. Scientists didn’t know how to cure diseases but tried to prevent them.
Pasteur developed a way to make milk safe to drink by heating it to a high temperature to kill the bacteria in the milk. He also found that carbolic acid could destroy bacteria.
Lister put Pasteur’s idea into practice. He sprayed carbolic acid on surgery tools, patients’ skin, and bandages to prevent infections.
Fleming found fungus could destroy bacteria and developed medicine called penicillin for patients to swallow.
