Video Transcript-Jun 29

The human brain has over 100 billion neurons. These cells are the basis for all your brain’s activity.
All these neurons are connected in a network
Each neuron communicates with many other neurons. Some cells have thousands of connections; others, just a few.
The number of connections between neurons in a human brain is greater than the number of stars in our sky.
To try to understand the complexity of this network, think of a city like New York.
Each person is a neuron. Then *multiply the size of the city by 1,000
The whole city is the brain, and each person is a neuron in its network, communicating to others.
Neurons are flexible. They are not bound to each other. Neurons can make and break their connections with other neurons.
Every time we learn a new skill or learn new information, our neurons make new connections. Networks of neurons that are used get stronger, and networks of neurons that are not used are lost. In this way, the brain changes itself constantly.
Throughout your life, these changing connections mean you can truly change your mind.
