[SS-1] They are popular because people have many choicesFor example, you can try Vietnamese noodles, American hamburgers, or Mexican tacos all in one place.
[SS-2] Also, eating at food trucks is convenient. You order at the window, and in a few minutes, your delicious food is ready. You can enjoy it outside or bring it home.

Starbucks Biz-Dec 19

What do you think of Starbucks? Is it a good business?
Speak your response in three sentences. <= NOT about if you like it or not

Transcript-Dec 19

Starbucks is the biggest coffee company in the world. There are more than 20,000 stores in around 65 different countries. People all over the world recognize the Starbucks name.
   <= 33,000 in 80 countries in 2021
So, how did Starbucks get so big? Starbucks was started by three friends in Seattle, Washington, in the northwest of the United States.
The first store opened on Western Avenue in 1971. By 1986 there were six Starbucks stores in Seattle.
In 1987 a former worker named Howard Schultz bought the company.
Schultz wanted to combine Italian café culture with Starbucks’s excellent coffee beans and friendly service. The idea was an instant success and the chain quickly grew. In 1990 there were 84 stores, by 2000 there were 3,501 stores, and by 2010 there were 16,858.
But some people are unhappy about the way that Starbucks has grown. They say that because Starbucks is so big, it is unfair to smaller coffee shops. Even Howard Schultz said that it might be a problem. He wanted the feeling of the company to stay the same, even as it got bigger. After all, the company’s culture is an important part of its success.
Starbucks doesn’t just sell coffee; they try to offer customers a complete experience. They want people to enjoy each store’s welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious coffee. Because of all these things, today Starbucks is one of the biggest companies in the world.

Write a summary of Starbucks in your own words as far as possible in three sentences
Starbucks was created by three friends in Seattle in 1971 and was bought by a former employee Howard Schultz in 1987.
Since then, the coffee shop chain grew rapidly and became the world’s largest coffee company with over 20,000 stores in 65 countries.
The concept of the coffee chain is a combination of Italian café culture and good coffee with friendly service.
