Some people say that grocery stores in Japan should give their customers free plastic bags if they want. 

What do you think about that?

#1 I think shops should encourage shoppers to bring their shopping bags instead of giving them plastic bags.

#2 Plastic bags are single-use plastic and they are often thrown away after use. 

    Not all plastic waste is recycled or reused.

    Plastic is not naturally degradable and harmful to the environment.　

#3 If stores give free plastic bags at no charge, many customers will take them, and plastic waste won’t be reduced.

University students often plan for their future careers by attending job fairs or searching online for information about different kinds of work opportunities. There are other ways, too. Some of them choose to join short-term work programs at companies called internships.

These have some good points. Students will be able to know more about companies they are interested in, such as what kind of jobs there are and what kind of people are working there. Also, internships allow students to get to know other students. These students can encourage each other both during and after the internship.

On the other hand, if students choose to join very short internships, they may not be able to understand the job they are doing before the internships end. Also, students who take part in internships may find it difficult to do well.  (142 words)

Some university students decide to participate in internships. They can get specific information about the companies they are interested in. Also, they could build relationships with other students who work with them. In the meantime, students may not understand or perform the job well if the internship is too short. (50 words)

Plan: Think of a situation when/where choice is a good thing. 
Examples: ice cream, flavored drink, restaurant/school cafeteria menu, reference/workbook, mechanical pencil, face mask, pain killer, stamp, eyeglasses, smartphone, school uniform
TS: I believe customers of supermarkets like choices. 

SS-1: I’m the manager of a big supermarket, and customers come to my store because we sell so many products. -> SD: They don't go to smaller stores because they may not have their favorite products. 

SS-2: They come to our store to get particular items. -> SD: Customers like to know that they can buy their favorite products at our store. 

CS: The supermarket is successful because we offer many choices.
