[SDG 17: Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development]

The SDGs can only be realized with inclusive partnerships and cooperation, at the global, regional, national, and local levels. They are built upon a shared vision and goals that put people and the planet at the center. However, while many developing countries require Official Development Assistance (ODA) to stimulate growth and trade, aid levels are falling and donor countries have not provided their pledged financing supports to developing countries. For example, almost half of the world’s population is not connected to the internet, particularly in poor countries. Also, Covid vaccination rates in developing countries are lagging far behind those in developed countries despite the *COVAX efforts.
*COVAX aims to accelerate the development and manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines and to guarantee fair access for every country in the world.
