Question: First Trip to Japan
For my new
job, I will travel to Japan next month and meet my Japanese boss. This will be
my first trip to Japan. I’m worried about correct business etiquette and
manners. My boss invited me to her home for dinner.
Do you have any advice?

You should arrive host's house before around 5 minutes you need to arrive. Keeping host wait is really rude. Also if you wear the coat, you should take coat off before entering the house. In Japan, take coat off and hold half into its outside. It is a manner to keep clean host's house.

Japanese begin to eat all together, so you have to wait your boss and her family sit around the table.
